There are currently more than 500 so-called incurable diseases of children that etiologies are obscure or treatment methods are not established and the number of children who fight against these incurable diseases exceeds 200,000 in Japan. Though remarkable medical progress contributes to improving the survival rate of these children, there still exist a lot of children who must fight with difficult-to-cure and life-threatening diseases.

Not to mention children who must fight with life-threatening diseases, not fulfilling hopes to go to school, to play with friends, and to make trips, etc., it gives great sorrow to their parents and families who learn that these children’s diseases are difficult to cure. Mental anguish and economic burdens of young parents who must tackle with their children’s life-threatening diseases are immeasurable.

In support of the activities developed by a corporate juridical person of A Dream A Day In Tokyo with the aim to assist financially parents who are young and do not have enough economic strength so as to stay in prepared accommodations in Tokyo and make enjoyable memories together with their children suffering from incurable diseases, I institute personally A Dream A Day In Tokyo-Meisei Ikka Fund. I wish that one week in Tokyo to be offered by us to these children and their families may be full of enjoyment, relieve all the stresses , encourage the children to live, bring peaceful minds to and alleviate disappointment and suffering of their parents and families.
